Clayton
radio operator "Liz" Lisenby (left) tore cartilage in his knee on
the Clayton crew's 9th mission. The squadron medical officer permanently grounded
him. He found work in the flimsy shack assembling mission briefing packets for
aircrews before boarding their aircraft. T/Sgt. Alan Purdy replaced Lisenby
as Clayton crew radio operator.Photo courtesy of Miles F. Lisenby
