Grumman C-1A Trader #311 taxies out of the line up prior to taking off from U.S.S. Kittyhawk (06/72). Grumman C-1 Traders were powered by 1525 horse power 9-cylinder radial engines. The engines were R-1820-82 Wright Cyclone engines. Earlier versions of the Wright R-1820 powered the B-17 Flying Fortress of WWII.
